Bucks Democrats Applaud Repeal Of Ban On Same Sex Marriage

Statement from Chairman John Cordisco:

“Today marks a momentous decision for same sex couples across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who have waited for so long to be recognized as equals in the eyes of the law. I am proud that our legal system got this right. I would like to applaud U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III for his wisdom in finding this ban discriminatory and further applaud our Democratic Attorney General Kathleen Kane who had the courage to stand up to Tom Corbett in her refusal to defend this ban in court. Most of all, I offer my sincere congratulations to our friends in the LGBT community in Bucks County and all over Pennsylvania whose committed, loving relationships now have equal legal standing.”
