GILMAN, BALDI, BATEMAN ENDORSED FOR JUDGE

GARY GILMAN

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1976, Gary Gilman began his law career by serving as a judicial law clerk for former Bucks County Judge Edmund V. Ludwig. He then served as a public defender for 2½ years while a resident of Doylestown Borough.

Following his work in the Public defender’s office, Gilman then spent 6 years in the Office of Attorney General of Pennsylvania. His work in the Office of the Attorney General culminated in his promotion to Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Chief of the Tort Litigation Section.

For the past 24 years, Gilman has been a lawyer in the private sector, first with a small firm in Philadelphia, and since 1988, with the law firm of Stief, Gross, Sagoskin, Gilman & Classetti in Newtown.

He became a certified mediator in 1988 and he has been hired by plaintiffs and defendants to serve as the neutral mediator or arbitrator in well-over 100 cases. Gilman has tried more than 50 cases to jury verdict in his career, and has resolved literally thousands of cases by way of negotiated settlements.

Gilman served on the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) from 1997 to 2003, he has coached youth sports for 12 years, and he has been involved in a broad variety of social action and charitable activities. He currently serves his township as the chairperson of its Citizens Traffic Commission.

ROBERT BALDI

More than thirty years experience as lead counsel representing plaintiffs and defendants in State and Federal Courts. Twenty years experience as a neutral arbitrator (approximately thirty-five to fifty cases per year) in civil matters. Baldi is admitted to practice law in local state and federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States.

Judge Bateman currently sits on the bench as a Judge of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. He was appointed last year by Governor Rendell to fill a vacancy. He is running for his own complete term this year.
